“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, …” Ephesians 2:6 (NIV)
Too much of our praying comes while reacting to the earthly realm. We look at things from the heat of the battle in the trenches. But God has given us an aerial view. We do not need to pray from a place of reaction, or fear, or anxiety or anger. We are called to pray from a place of faith. We are not mere foot soldiers, but we are seated with the general who has drone images of what’s happening on the bigger scale. We don’t need to fight for victory. No, we pray from a place of victory. Paul tells us that “overwhelming victory is ours through Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:37 NLT). Another version says we are “more than conquerors” (NIV).
Today as you pray for our state, or nation, or regarding COVID, or race issues, or election issues, or whatever… please understand that the mystery and power of prayer requires you seeing from above and directing the laser guided prayers to their targets. Know that these prayers are powerful and effective because of your relationship with Jesus Christ has seated you with Him in the heavenly realms. And because of that your prayer has His authority.
“He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with Him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ!” Ephesians 2:6 (TPT)
