“There was also a prophetess, Anna, a daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was well along in years, having lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and was a widow for 84 years. She did not leave the temple complex, serving God night and day with fasting and prayers.” Luke 2:36-37 (HCSB)
Anna was a prophetess, who was very old. She had been married for seven years before her husband had died. After that, she had been a widow for 84 years, of which she had never left the Temple, but worshiped and prayed night and day looking forward to the coming Messiah. Then Jesus’ parents brought Him to the Temple and she knew that it was a new day! Wow, her life was characterized with non-stop worship and prayer with fasting, and she was blessed to see the fulfillment of her life’s prayer!!!
Ask the Lord to release an Anna grace over our city, starting with you! Ask Him to stir up persevering, enduring prayer, with an ache for Jesus’ return within His lovers in our city. Ask God to specifically stir it up in your pastor, and subsequently, through your church. Ask God for a grace to establish non-stop worship and prayer with fasting in our city!!!
