“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 (ESV)
The reality is, Satan doesn’t care if someone gets saved! Yes, you read that correctly! His concern is God’s kingdom being established on earth. Converts don’t necessarily advance the Kingdom. In fact, some “converts” actually do more harm for the Kingdom than those who are not in the family of God. Nevertheless, that was the first priority of Jesus’ prayer which He taught His disciples.
“Father, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven!”
Disciples, not converts, are what Satan hates! A kingdom involves a King who reigns and a people who submit. Converts don’t understand the importance of Lordship, Kingship, and surrender! But Disciples do! And disciples advance the kingdom!
Satan is not concerned about heaven being populated, but about God’s kingdom being established on earth. If Satan can disrupt the advancement of the kingdom, he can delay his ultimate demise in hell. People being ‘saved’ don’t hurt or delay his plan. But making disciples of Jesus Christ do! That is why we are told to go make disciples out of nations. We are never told to go convert or get the nations to pray a “sinner’s prayer.” Satan is absolutely afraid of those who are trained, equipped and understand their authority in Christ!
The gospel of the Kingdom is what we have been commissioned to take to the lost world. This Gospel isn’t about getting people saved, but surrendering their lives to the King! Please don’t misunderstand me, salvation, conversion is very important, but that is not the goal. It never has been! Jesus did not come to save people but to adopt them into His family! As couples have babies, the birthing of their children is not the point, but raising them into who God created them to be is!
Pray that God would increase His blessing and anointing on those called to evangelism. And that more would rise up! They are absolutely necessary in this hour! And pray that God would anoint our pastors, teachers, prophets and apostles to equip the saints, and bring them to maturity, to a place of understanding their identity and authority in Christ Jesus and to step into their ordained purpose for being here for such a time as this! Pray for the current ekklesia to be prepared to raise up those who will come into the kingdom in the coming 1 billion soul harvest. Pray for a Spirit filled Church to arise that causes the very gates of hell to tremble and our adversary’s roar to become like a cat’s meow!!!
