“Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth.” Psalm 127:4 (ESV)
The Psalm tells us that children are a blessing from God and that they are arrows in our quiver. Yet many have children who are wandering, walking in rebellion, or perhaps simply cold towards the Lord. Nevertheless, God’s word promises otherwise. We must stand on the truth, on God’s word, and declare our quivers will be filled in the day of battle. We must not let what our eyes see dictate the outcome for our kids!
Here are just a few some passages and declarations you can speak out on behalf of your prodigal children…
Almighty God, Your word says that You will save the children of warriors (Isaiah 49:25b). So right now, I declare that I am a warrior for You and that my children will be saved!
Father, Your word says that if am a tither, You will pour out so much blessing that I will not be able to contain it. You also promise that You will rebuke the Devourer on my behalf. I ask right now, rebuke every place that the enemy is devouring my children, and set them free. I declare abundant blessing will be poured out upon them (Malachi 3:8-12).
Father, Jesus said that He came to give life, and life abundantly. But the enemy has come to kill steal and destroy in my children’s lives. Right now I declare that every place where the enemy has robbed my children in anyway would be restored, seven fold (John 10:10, Proverbs 6:31).
Lord Your word says that if we train up our child in the way he should go, he will not depart from it when he is older. Right now, I declare this promise over _______ life (Proverbs 22:6).
O God, Your word says that You will pour out blessings to a thousand generation of those who love and obey You. I love You and remind You right now of this promise to my children and children’s children. I declare they will know the blessing of God in their lives (Deuteronomy 7:9).
Father, You have said that children are arrows in our quiver. I declare right now that my quiver will be filled with sharp, straight, strong arrows for the day of battle (Psalm 127:3-5).
Thank You for the promise that we will reap what we’ve sown! So, I call forth the fruit of all our seeds that have been sown into our kids (Galatians 6:7)!
Likewise, Father You have said that Your word does not return void, but will accomplish what it has been sent to do. Every truth that has been spoken into my child, is still there and now I call forth its purpose to be fulfilled in Jesus name (Isaiah 55:11-12)!
O God, Your word says that I have divine weaponry to demolish strongholds and to take captive every thought, bringing it into obedience to Christ. Right now, I declare that every lie, every pretense, and every argument that has set itself up against the knowledge of God in the lives of my children are to be torn down, and completely demolished (2 Corinthians 10:3-6).
Father You have woven my children together in the hidden place, You have given them a purpose and destiny to fulfill in this generation! And I declare they will fulfill it (Psalm 139:13-16)!
I declare in Jesus name that my quiver will be full in the day of battle!
