“Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the LORD rises upon you
.” Isaiah 60:1 (NIV)

What a passage for today! It is time for the church to arise, shine and carry God’s glory to the world! The word arise means … to rise, stand, establish, confirm, abide, accomplish, get up, awaken, rouse from sleep or death, and/or cause to appear. And shine means … to be luminous, enlighten, break of day, fire, glorious, kindle, and/or to be or become light. Do whatever it takes to arise, whether it is out of the ashes, or your bed, or the tomb. Cry out for God to awaken what has fallen into slumber this past season. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you, that’s a promise (James 4:8)! And as you do, you will radiate the glory that is and will increase upon you so the world around you will see! This month, join us as we focus on the word arise!

Here are some ways to join us in the corporate setting crying out to God to awaken, accomplish and confirm His presence and power in Athens and beyond….
