Look, I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as serpents and as harmless as doves.” Matthew 10:16 (HCSB)

Jesus said He was sending us out into dangerous territory, and that we’re be as wise as serpents yet innocent as a dove. In our day it is so easy to become cynical! It’s been a long hard challenging journey. Many have had to face prolonged “deferred hope” (Proverbs 13:12), with many disappointments. We have not seen things turn as quickly as we would have liked, or hoped, or believed it would. As such, the faith of many have grown lukewarm, even cold. Even as the big reveal is going on, and the veil is being torn back, it is easy to lose faith, become angry, even bitter, and complacent. But remnant is rising up!

We are stepping into a time of unbelievable salvations, global revival and cultural reformation. We need to allow the Lord to heal us, to cleanse us, to deliver us and to prepare us for the new world we are about to step into. Darkness is not going to disappear. The battle will continue to rage, but now is the time to reengage!

If there is anything you have picked up in these past few years that is not of God, like if you’ve lost your first love (Revelation 2:4), please repent, turn back into God and His presence. We have been brutally attacked in this season from witchcraft and sorcery. The enemy has not been subtle! He has worked hard to oppress and wear out the saints (Daniel 7:25).

God has not put you here just randomly. You have purpose and destiny, even if you have put it on the shelf this past season. Repent and come back to where you were. Not just back to the old ways, but into the new things God is doing (and about to do)! Ask God for the grace to be wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove. That doesn’t mean you are to look and think like the world, but like the martyr Stephen, that God would grant you wisdom that would confound the wise of the world (Acts 6:9-10). Thank Him for putting you here for such a time as this!!!
