“Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in His prophets, and you will succeed.” 2 Chronicles 20:20b (NLT)

Jehoshaphat was facing a mighty army, which had every intention to annihilate Judah. But He refused to listen to the report (the false news) and instead with the community took it to the Lord. A prophetic voice rose up in their midst and said “Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15-16). He went on to say, “But you need to still march out against them!”

Then as the army worshiping warriors approached the battle lines the next day, Jehoshaphat said “Believe God and what His prophets have said, and we will succeed.” So many prophetic voices have spoken about the outcome of this election. For those who listen to the report of the lying news, fear and doubt have crept in. But for those who maintain their faith in God and His prophets, our cry has not diminished. I believe this plea from Jehoshaphat is our battle cry today. Our showing up for the battle matters, but it still belongs to Him. “Believe and we will succeed!”
