Prayer Opportunities in May 2018.

“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."   Ephesians 4:3 (NIV) Here in Athens, God has given us a grace for unity. Even downtown in front of City Hall there is a statue of the Spirit of Athens, which in itself looks kind of weird. But at the base reads Ephesians 4:3. And where there is unity, God commands His blessing, even life forever more (Psalm 133). That’s a pretty strong promise! And as God has arranged, the theme for the National Day of Prayer is unity. We're praying that men would rise up across our city and fight for their families and marriages, to fight for their churches and for our city, AND to fight for their own personal courageous walk with Jesus Christ (against substance addictions, pornography, lust, fear, shame, selfishness, pride, etc.). “Well done! You are a good servant. You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you….” Luke 19:26 (NLT) Our measly crumbs become much in God’s hands. Our best efforts are so insignificant and weak without our Savior’s touch. But He loves to take our little, and multiply it. Whether it is fish and loaves or finances, anointing or talents. And He rewards our faithfulness. If we are faithful with little, He will give even more! So it is with prayer. God takes our simple words and the Holy Spirit supercharges them, releasing earth shaking answers. Please keep praying, and pressing into God. This is a season to be faithful.
