“Then I heard another voice calling from heaven, ‘Come away from her, My people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her.’” Revelation 18:4 (NLT)
God desires to deliver us from Babylon. When the Israelites were delivered from Egypt God also had to get Egypt out of their hearts. The world has seeped into the Church. Some of it is very blatant, like what the UMC is going through with the loss of the authority of the word and acceptance of gay lifestyle and marriage. Others are less obvious, with simply not preaching the full counsel of the word of God. The hostility of the world has also seeped into the church. Sadly, the accuser has gotten many offended Christians to speak for him against pastors and leaders during this season. By her silence, the church is complicit in the execution of over 60 million babies since 1973. In so many ways, the church looks more like the world than we do Christ. But today, God is calling for His people to come out from the world. In fact, He is saying as He did in Song of Songs, “Arise, come, My darling, My beautiful one, come with Me… Come away My lover, and be like a gazelle” (Song 2:13b &8:14a – NIV). He is calling out a remnant who will follow Him today as wholehearted lovers. If you are willing, tell Him you want to come out from Babylon and follow Him as His bride in preparation. Tell Him you will go wherever He leads and do whatever He desires. Tell Him you want to be where is! Cry out for you pastor and church to hear His call to come away from Babylon and be with Him!
