“Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel…” Revelation 2:20 (NIV)
Complicity is defined as the state of being an accomplice, partner or involved in wrongdoing. Speaking to the Church in Thyatira, Jesus says they are guilty of tolerating Jezebel. You get that, their guilt came from being tolerant, not from being actively involved in it! Today much of the church is tolerant to the sin of the world. When we vote we are in being complicit, that is partnering with the platform we are voting for! And God will hold us accountable to partnering with evil. The Church must rise up and hate what is evil and hold fast to what is good (Romans 12:9). We can no longer be silent, lukewarm or complicit toward lies and sin. Abortion is absolute wickedness. Though pro-life is about valuing all life, the blood of the 60 million plus innocent babies that have been executed cry out for us to wake up and stand up for them (Genesis 4:10).
Please pray that the Church would wake up to its lukewarmness and complicity with the devil. Ask God to give you boldness to do hold onto what is right and to stand against what is evil.
