And don’t allow yourselves to be weary in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!” Galatians 6:9 (TPT)

The outcome of a game is often determined in the last two minutes. Likewise, battles can be determined in the final hours. It is in these moments that the players and warriors are physically at their end. It is the ones who endure to the end that will be saved (Matthew 24:13). God has called us to race with horses in the thicket, which is a supernatural thing, but first we put keep up with men, a natural thing (Jeremiah 12:5).

When the answer seems delayed it is natural to start growing weary. Proverbs tells us that hope deferred makes the heart sick (13:12). Though the answer, in this case a powerful move of God, seems delayed, please don’t allow weariness to set in! We are in a late stage of this epic battle. Though the outcome is on its way (Habakkuk 2:3), it’s vital that we don’t give in to the flesh. Daniel says the devil’s strategy is to wear out the saints (7:25). The devil is a loser, and he will lose this contest for our nation. Nevertheless, he is also a deceiver and wants us to believe otherwise!

Though it is natural to grow weary, ask God for a supernatural grace to pray until He accomplishes what He is about to do… and then keep praying! In eternity this assignment will be over, so let’s not give up before then! This is our day to press in, to fight for our King. Ask God to release this enduring grace upon other praying people and intercessors in your church and across our city. May the Kingdom of our Heavenly Father and of His Son come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven!
