But Moses said to the people, ‘Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see the LORD’s salvation He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you must be quiet.’” Exodus 14:13-14 (HCSB)

Several years ago, Shellie purchased a Christmas Tree. Let me tell you, it was a great deal! But it never arrived. We continued to get the message that is was ‘in transit!’ I think it still is in transit. That’s like the word ‘soon!’ Doesn’t that define the day we live in? We’ve hoped for the breakthrough, like it was supposed to have arrived yesterday. But there has been no delivery yet. The answer has not come in the mail.

Nevertheless, understand this, the Lord will fight for you. You only need to be still. We are told in Psalm 46:10 to be still and know He is God. Being still requires me to know He is still working, and fighting for me. Though on one side we may hear the chariots of Pharaoh and feel their horses breathing down our backs, and pressed against a barrier, some sort of opposition on the other! Where’s the breakthrough!

What we view as opposition could actually be God’s opportunity. Honestly, without God, the odds are totally against us! But remember, God has not called us to live in transit. We must keep pressing on, as we can’t go back to our past. And actually, we don’t want to! We must move on to our future. The past represents comfort, but is an enemy of our faith. Yet delivery is future. It is receiving God’s promise, in His timing and way. The Lord stands watch over His word and His promises to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). We are in the year of the open door, and this is definitely a season of transition. Please do not lose heart!!!

Times of transition requires us to stretch. Transitions stretch us, expand us, cause us to feel a bit uncomfortable. God told Moses to stretch out his hand. A stretch does not look like success, but a surrender. It’s time to surrender to His will and ways, and not accept what our eyes see, or the reports that come our way!

Remember, what’s impossible with man is possible with God (Luke 18:27). Impossible is a recipe for a miracle in your life, AND in our nation. Faith releases the impossible, it allows the reality of ‘what if God’ to busts through for our delivery!

Thank the Lord that He has you ‘in transit!’ You will arrive. Our nation will be saved! Revival is about to sweep across the land!

Thanks Sammy Gomes for inspiring this post from your message this past Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Frais Church, Athens.

Please pray for Sammy & Brittany as they lead this new and ‘fresh’ work in Athens. Pray that they’d be successful in making ‘Jesus the point’ in Athens. Pray for endurance and grace upon their team as they set up every Sunday, and actively reach out in our city, and serve however they can. Ask the Lord for favor over this work! If you’re able, please visit and meet them on Sunday, praying onsite that God would bless them!
