“Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.” Proverbs 2:11 (NIV)

We live in an hour where discernment is so desperately needed. Jesus talked about a day where we had to be so very alert to being deceived (Matthew 24:4). That people would deceive and be deceived (2 Timothy 3:13). That even saints could be deceived (Matthew 24:24). There are signs right in front of our faces, placed there by witches, by Freemasons, by Pedophiles, by Satanists, or others with nefarious intent, but out of our naivete, ignorance or denial we simply do not see them! We are warned to stay away from such things, as they come with a cost (Proverbs 5:8-10). We are warned that you cannot scoop fire into your lap and not get burned (Proverbs 6:27). You cannot invite a witch into your house without paying the price! Paul even warned us not to participate in the deeds of darkness, but rather, expose them (Ephesians 5:11). But instead the Lord says seek understanding and wisdom (Proverbs 4). We are told that the discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of the fool feeds on folly (Proverbs 15:14). In other words, we need to seek out truth, to ask questions, to inquire. But fools prevent questioning, searching for answers. Fools censor, cancel and attack those who seek truth. Nevertheless, choose to be a discerning truth seeker!!!

Cry out for discernment, for discretion, for understanding, for wisdom. The Lord promises to give these things to us as we ask for them (James 1:5). So, ask daily! Ask Him for eyes to see what the enemy is broadcasting right in front of your eyes. Ask Him to expose wolves in sheep clothes, witches that disguise themselves as angels of light, and symbols of wickedness. Pray this for your pastor, and for boldness to act upon it.
