Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing… The older brother became angry and refused to go in.” Luke 15:25&28 (NIV)

We are on the verge of many people who have been blind to what has been going on suddenly seeing it. The fraud, the corruption, the lies, and how they had been deceived! Many of these are ones who have been quite adamant and aggressive against other believers. They have canceled, blocked and spoke out against other believers who did not believe the same as they did. But they are complicit to much wickedness in the land. Blood is on their hands as they support murderers, liars, perverts and haters of God. Yet suddenly, like the prodigal son, they will come to their senses (Luke 5:17). As they come back, we need to be careful not to say, “I told you so!” We will be tempted, like the older brother, to get angry, even religious, about how loving and forgiving our Father is. This will be a huge test for many. Please don’t do what the older brother did. Your faithfulness throughout this entire season has not gone unnoticed by the Father. He who sees what’s done in secret will reward you (Matthew 6:4, 6 & 18).

So, for now, pray for those brothers and sisters of the faith (specifically, by name), who have been blinded by the lies of media and have allowed the deception over our nation to influence their thinking and actions. Ask God for His grace to abound to them, to woo them and to open their eyes. Ask God to cover their shame and guilt with His Son’s blood. Ask God to grant them the courage to “come back into fellowship!” And ask God to prepare your heart (and those of the other older brothers) for when they do!
