“Of the increase of His government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over His kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.” Isaiah 9:7 (ESV)

For all of those out there who think the kingdom of God is losing ground, the Bible is quite clear. The increase of His government shall not end!!! That means it is always, ALWAYS increasing! And the zeal of the LORD will accomplish it!

For the longest time I believed the world would get darker and darker, till finally Jesus came and rescued His remnant Church in what is called the rapture. I do not believe that anymore! The word is full of promises that reflect the ever-increasing Kingdom of God. I’m not saying darkness will cease, because the devil will continue his work until he and his minions are cast into the lake of fire. But I do declare that the knowledge of the glory of the Lord will cover the earth in this age and not just in the one to come (Habakkuk 2:14).

Daniel prophesied a stone cut out of a mountain but not with human hands, coming from heaven and crushing human kingdoms (Daniel 2). Btw, that is what happened when Jesus came to earth!!! His kingdom has come and it has not decreased!

Isaiah saw that One would come whose authority and government would increase and never end… (Isaiah 9:6-7). The Kingdom of God is here, it’s near and it’s increasing, not decreasing! Do not believe the lies that the Church is in decline, dying and about to be rescued from this dark evil world.

From the start of the Church, the day of very small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10), with 120 praying followers waiting in the Upper Room, there has been growth. Decade after decade, century after century, millennium after millennium, an ever-increasing number hearts have embraced the Lordship of Jesus Christ. By A.D. 200, there were perhaps 200,000. By A.D. 600, there were probably over 10 million followers of Jesus. It is estimated that by the early 1900s, the population of Christ followers was around 600 million. And at this point in history, there are nearly 3 billion people who profess to follow Jesus. Get that? In our day, one-third of the world’s population practices Christianity. And it grows daily! With the fastest-growing part of Christianity being Pentecostalism, that is, where the Holy Spirit is embraced and welcomed. Without a doubt the increase of Christ’s government has never ended, will not end and will continue to grow!

Thank the Lord that you are alive in this day of exponential, explosive, ever increasing growth of the kingdom of God! Ask Him for eyes to see it, ears to hear about it and a faith to believe it, even when you can’t see or hear it! Ask Him to do it here in our city, in your church. Ask Him to release His zeal in our city, in your church. Ask Him for explosive growth, salvation, surrender, revival, and transformation in our city, starting in your church. Pray for your pastor to embrace by faith the growth that is coming to the Kingdom of God throughout our city, including your church. Ask God for the knowledge of His glory to be known in our city as the waters cover the seas!!!
