“If you love Me, obey My commandments.” John 14:15 (NLT)
Our obedience impacts generations to come. The battle we fight today, becomes the next generation’s foundations and values. If we don’t fight, if we do not step up in wholehearted obedience, we are on the verge of losing this coming generation. The battle is before us today. If you chose to stay inside in this hour because of fear, you will miss the opportunity to change the world, and to pass on to the next generation a better world. Fear has no place in the Kingdom of God! But when fear immobilizes us, we reveal that our faith is weak. We are commanded to “fear not” (Joshua 1:9), and it is in the Bible 365 times! That is because fear will immobilize us and keep us from the Promised Land that the Lord has planned for us in this hour. Faith and wholehearted obedience are required to step through the fog of fear. Esther stepped through it when she said “If I perish I perish” (Esther 4:16). David stepped through the fog when he ran down the hill with only a sling and some stones to face the Goliath (1 Samuel 17:48). Daniel stepped through the fog when he continued to pray knowing the law had been changed and would cost him his life (Daniel 6:10). We know the other side of the lions’ den, but Daniel didn’t! We know the outcome of David’s few moments of absolute faith! We know that Esther’s raw faith saved a nation. Her obedience impacted the next generation! So will yours!!!
Ask God to give you eyes to see the moment that you are in. Ask Him for courage to press through the fog of fear that would try to keep you from moving to battle. Repent of any and every place where fear has immobilized you in the past. Cry out for revival, for the next the sake of the next generation. Ask God to allow your life to make a difference for others younger than you. Ask Him to give you a handful of younger people whom you can invest in and fight for in prayer.
