“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12 (ESV)
Over time we can become weary of carrying disappointment! It starts popping up via loss of zeal for the dream! After tarrying a long time and seeing things decreasing instead of increasing, our hearts can become sick (Proverbs 13:12). Things that used to be a joy can become a daily chore. People who used to think highly of you now ignore you. The clarity of the ‘why’ has been tarnished leaving a film over your vision.
Add to all that the spiritual war that has intensified these past few years. The evil that is so blatant and so prevalent in our world. It appears there is no justice as the criminals and perverts are getting away with their sick wickedness. So it seems!
It’s time to lay it all down, and assess what is meant to be carried into this next season. Mantles in one season can become yokes in the next if they’re not meant to be carried anymore. Last season’s assignment can become a shackle in this season if you’re not supposed to be doing it.
It’s time to reassess your calling, your assignment and reset your sights for what God has for you in this season. Don’t allow disappointment to dis-appoint you from your destiny and purpose. This is an hour to simply trust the Lord with all your heart and not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
Ask the Lord if you are carrying any disappointments. As He reveals any, cast them at His feet. Lay your mantles down, along with the yokes you carry. Ask Him to realign and reassign you in this hour, even if it is to continue what you’re doing. Ask Him to prepare you to press into this new season with a fresh skip in your step, and His wind in your sails. Thank Him for calling you, and purposing you for this very hour in history! You have a part to play in His story that is unfolding today! And please pray that for your pastor!!!
