“I brought glory to You here on earth by completing the work You gave Me to do.” John 17:4 (NLT)
It won’t be long before we stand back and marvel at what God has done during this season. We may not see it yet, but He is working! Jesus said His Father is always at work (John 5:17). Isaiah told us our ways are not like God’s (55:8-9), meaning our expectations are usually wrong. Paul tells us that God is about to do exceedingly abundantly beyond what we could ask, imagine or deserve (Ephesians 3:20). The thing is, though God is not done, He is at work and will complete what He has begun. He always does. Just as His Son completed the work He was given to do, the Father never stops working toward fulfilling His plan!
The day we live in is truly a Kairos moment. It is a season where God is doing extraordinary things. It is the beginning of a new era, which means there is an increase of spiritual activity. Angels, demons and the Holy Spirit are very active! In all the clatter, like a master chess player, God is simply moving His pieces into place, getting ready to proclaim, CHECK MATE!
Take time to thank Him for faithfully working even when you don’t see it or feel it. In faith thank Him for finishing the work in you, in your marriage, in your family, in your church and in our nation! Choose to celebrate in the finished work of the cross and in God’s ability to complete what He is working on, right now, in you and in our nation. Some things are about to click in to place. Thank Him for that! And ask Him if there is anything you need to do to be faithful in completing the work that He has prepared for you to do (Ephesians 2:10)!
