“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:9-10 (NIV)
Yes, God is sovereign, but His will is not always done. That is why Jesus instructed us to pray for the Father’s will to be done and His kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven. God gave man authority on earth, and though there are times when God does what He wants to do, He allows man to rule and reign on this planet. Of course, man yielded that authority to Satan in the Garden. And because of Jesus’ victory on the cross that authority has been taken back. It is God’s will that none perish, but sadly, people do perish because they lack a knowledge of Him, or worse, they choose to reject Him. God has given us a free will to love and accept Him or to hate and reject Him. We are told that God gives man over to the evil desires of his heart (Romans 1:24, 26, 28). Conversely, if we delight in Him He still will give us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4). At the end of the day, God will give us what we desire. If we desire Him we get more of Him. But if we reject His offer of salvation and relationship (John 3:16, 1 John 5:11-12), He will allow us to have exactly what we have wanted, a life and eternity without Him!
Right now, our nation is torn, but a remnant is rising! Right now, our freedom is at stake. There is a call for unity and healing. But much of the meaning behind it is, ‘you need to look, speak and think like me!’ Everyone who doesn’t, gets censored, canceled and threatened with reprogramming, humiliation and punishment. That sounds like a communist regime to me.
There is a reason that it is said, “History belongs to the intercessors!” It is the praying church that provides God the means (permission if you will) to move and accomplish His purposes. That is why prayer is so important! That’s why your prayer matters so much!
I believe God is going to use the things going on right now to accomplish His purposes. It is always in the darkest hours that God brings the greatest victories! His church, at least the remnant part who truly love Him are pressing into Him right now, like never before. We are experiencing the greatest focused prayer movement of all time. Our prayer posture has given/is giving God the place for Him to move. The prayer of a righteous person, that is a someone walking with Jesus, will be powerful and effective (James 5:16). The greatest thing you can do today is press into Jesus, and pray for the Father’s will to be done in your life, in our city and in our nation! Keep fueling the greatest prayer movement ever!!!
