“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and His glory will be seen upon you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3 (ESV)
As bad as it looks right now, I believe it is going to get worse! The enemy knows he is defeated, but he is relentlessly throwing everything he can to prevent the inevitable! We are living in the day of Isaiah 60. Though darkness covers the earth, even thick darkness God’s glory is coming and people, even nations and kings will do whatever it takes to come into the light! The knowledge of His glory will cover the earth (Habakkuk 2:14). We are on the verge of a great move of God with a one billion soul harvest. I believe we will see prodigals, not only come home but will step into their destiny in this hour! We are told to lift our eyes and watch as God brings our sons from afar (Isaiah 60:4). Hold on, stand firm on what you believe, and don’t lose hope! The enemy is a liar, a deceiver and a loser. So as bad as it gets, please remember to keep your eyes on Jesus and don’t stop praying!
So please pray for your church to have patient endurance (Revelation 14:12) and faith to persevere in prayer (Luke 18:6-8). Pray for your pastor to stand firm, engage in the battle (Ephesians 6:10-18), to preach the full word of God in season and out (2 Timothy 4:2). Ask the Lord to show you how to prepare for the intensified battle. Pray that the church in our city would stand together in the midst of the darkness, allowing the glory of God to be seen upon us!
