“For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and His glory will be seen upon you.” Isaiah 60:2 (ESV)
In this hour we must let our light and His glory to shine forth. There is so much darkness getting exposed. The KJV calls this thick darkness ‘gross’ which means gloom, a dark or thick cloud. One’s gross income is before any deductions. The gross darkness that is covering the earth is unmitigated, unfiltered wickedness! It will be seen.
And it’s going to get worse before better! The depth of man’s depravity is about to be revealed for all to see! Jeremiah says the heart of man is wicked (17:9). Are you ready for this exposure? Please don’t allow it to overwhelm you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Don’t let the shock & awe darkness to consume your attention.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Cry out for a grace to not be overwhelmed by the darkness in this hour, but to overcome by faith and by being a carrier of His light and glory! Ask God for wisdom on how to how others that are feeling overwhelmed in this gross darkness. Pray for your pastor to have an increase in faith-filled, anointed preaching that causes God’s glory to manifest in your gatherings! Pray that across our city His light and glory would arise upon His church and penetrate the gross darkness in this hour. May His light and glory expose and push the thick darkness out of our city!
