“Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And He chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.” 1 Corinthians 1:27 (NLT)

God did not choose you because you are phenomenal, the best and have so much potential. The truth is, He choose you because you aren’t! God chooses the weak things of the world to confound the strong, the foolish to confuse the wise, the ones who are nothing to perplex the famous. That’s my story! He rescued me from the highway heading to jail and death! God chose ordinary fishermen to take His kingdom to the world. God takes a few renegades and turns the world upside down!

God chose Gideon, who was fearfully threshing barley in a winepress to deliver Israel.

God chose David, even when Samuel tried to choose one of his brothers (1 Samuel 16:7). God said don’t judge by one’s appearance, strength, ability, or aptitude, discern by one’s heart. And God chose you!

Thank the Lord Jesus Christ for choosing you! Surrender your weaknesses, your flaws, and all that is ordinary about you, into His hands to do with and through you as He pleases! Ask Him to grant you the grace to fulfill His purposes through your life in this generation. Tell Him you trust Him and His ability to do much, over your inability to do anything!
