Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 (ESV)

I know we all want this chaos and the evil schemes that are attempting to take over the world to be finished, but we must keep resisting what the enemy is trying to do! The devil is not going to cease and desist until he is locked away. And since he’s not going away yet, neither are his human servants. They want us out of the picture. The devil is up to all kinds of monkey business! And the bottom-line is, they are trying to kill us. If it’s not monkey pox it’s going to be something else! But it is not going to work!

Isaiah prophesied about a deep darkness that would literally cover the world (60:2)! We’re living in that time right now! This darkness is the backdrop for God to move and reveal Himself to the whole world. But in that context, we must ARISE, that is establish, persist, be clear, strengthen, and decree. We must SHINE, which means, be illuminated, glow, display, radiate! FOR OUR LIGHT HAS COME. AND THE GLORY OF GOD WILL APPEAR (Isaiah 60:1).

The glory of the Lord is increasing. This glory has a weightiness, in a positive sense! It is a display of His splendor. God’s glory will cover the earth, and the knowledge of His glory will be as the waters cover the seas (Habakkuk 2:14). We live in that day! If we persist in our resistance in this hour of darkness, the devil must flee. But our resistance can’t be one and done! We must resist the devil, his evil schemes and his servants until he flees. And angelic backup is on its way!

Ask God to grant you a grace to resist the darkness in this hour and to arise shine like never before. Ask Him to illuminate your life so that others will see Him. Thank Him that you get to be alive in such a day of His glory! Ask Him to release a grace over your pastor to arise and shine, and to lead your church to arise and shine in this dark hour! Pray that the church in Athens would arise, shine and resist the devil until he leaves our city! Ask the Lord to release the fear of God in our city, and declare that “it is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). Ask the Lord to increase angelic activity over our city, state and nation!
