“Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:8a (NIV)

Nearly every morning I wake up and marinate in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. It hangs on the wall in our bedroom. Love is truly amazing and so other worldly! It is truly the mark of an authentic follower of Christ. Jesus even said that the world would know we are His disciples because of our love for each other (John 13:35). Recently, one line jumped out at me: “does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth” (v6). Right now, there is a great separation going on in our nation, and in fact, across the globe. Those who truly love Jesus and do not delight in evil but in truth, and those who do not! Yes, there is much deception! And it is becoming more evident every day. Jesus told us about this time, when wickedness would increase because the love of most will grow cold (Matthew 24:12).

The question is, do you love and rejoice in truth? Do you stand in it, for it and fight from a place of truth? Or have your being drinking from the toxic, evil embracing narrative that the media, the illegal government and so many others are espousing? Do you desire truth? Are you willing to embrace the full truth about what has been going on? I believe it’s coming soon, and there will be a rude awakening. I regularly pray for those whose eyes will be opened and shocked by what they see, and what they believed. I pray that God’s grace will cover them and that shame, guilt and condemnation will flee in the presence of God’s amazing love!

Join me in praying for those who do not see the truth yet. Perhaps they are your prodigal children, your family members, your close friends, your neighbors, your work mates, your pastor or others in your church! Pray that God’s amazing grace and love would cover them as their sight comes back, and protect them in this rude awakening as the enemy has to relinquish his control and deception. Pray that they would turn to God and draw near to Him instead of withdrawing out of shame, condemnation and guilt. Pray for those who do see, who are awakened, to be filled with even more love toward those who have been so resistant, even antagonistic toward you and the truth. Pray that veil would be removed from the unbelievers around you so that they can see, hear and understand the love of God for them through Christ. Pray that God would grant you a grace and boldness to not give up on them! Declare that America, including Athens Georgia, will be saved, and transformed!!!

Join me in marinating in this amazing passage. It will change your life!

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV)
