Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.” Proverbs 14:4 (ESV)

There is a tendency that we prefer our church services to be neat, tidy and orderly. But it is time to get out the shovels! Solomon declared that we can have clean stables if we don’t have oxen. But without the strength of the oxen we will miss the coming abundant harvest. In other words, with oxen it is going to get messy. Get over it! We can keep our services neat and tidy, but we will miss the great harvest that is upon us. Prodigals will be coming home. Those in the LGBTQ movement will be set free, come to Jesus and start seeking discipleship in our churches. Let me just say, it is going to get messy. There will be strange things happening in our services, even demons being cast out. The question is, will your church receive the move of God with the messes it brings or will it prefer to stay neat and tidy?

Invite the Holy Spirit to move at your church. Tell Him that you prefer to clean up the messes of revival than to not experience a move of God in our midst. Confess your fear of being out of control, of looking foolish and of scaring people, of losing dollars, of having to clean up the messes that are caused by new believers, broken people and demons being cast out! Cry out for your pastor to be willing to let go of all control to the Holy Spirit, and to receive a grace to lead your congregation forward in the day of revival!
