“I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Matthew 3:11 (ESV)
I had the privilege of experiencing the revival that is happening in Dawsonville, GA. I joined a couple pastors from Athens and we were blessed to be in a house where God is moving, releasing healing, salvation, miracles. We witnessed several pretty significant healings while people were being baptized. This was the 198th straight week since God’s glory moved upon them several years ago. Literally they do it every Sunday night. Five churches, working together, represent the North Georgia revival! The honoring one another and the individual humility is absolutely beautiful, and creates an environment for God to move powerfully!
One of the pastors in the NGR spoke. Don Allen, pastor of War Hill Church, said that during this past season churches are closing down because they have forgotten that there was One who is worthy (Revelation 5)! God does not divide His glory, that’s why unity is so important. Don said that the glory has manifested in Dawsonville because they found grace. Once you find grace you can move on to the glory! Don said, “What happens when the pastor repents? It’s called revival!” Consider investing a Sunday night in Dawsonville, it only 90 minutes away from Athens!
