Rise up church! The blind cannot lead the blind! Wake up, oh you sleepers (Ephesians 5:14)! The church is in desperate need of revival and awakening! We need to take our eyes off ourselves and fix them on God and others! One billion souls is on God’s mind!
Nevertheless and sadly, too many church services are more about “me” and making “me” happy instead of holy! How many people leave our services under conviction vs feeling better about themselves? Which one do you think God cares more about?
There is a separation happening in the Church. Not just the Methodist Church, but also in the Baptist Church and even in the Charismatic Church! Where is the Holy Spirit welcome? Where is He free to burst out of the religious structures, yes, even in the Pentecostal Church? A new thing has come, do you not see it, will you join in (Isaiah 43:19)?
We are to be the church that hell is afraid of! We are to be the church that causes demons to tremble! We not meant to be the church that is so self-focused that the devil simply laughs at us! We are to be the church fully empowered by the Holy Spirit! It’s the Spirit filled praying church that threatens the devil and the gates of hell! And that starts with each one of us!
Ask for the Holy Spirit to make you the one hell dreads. Pray that your church would crush the gates of hell! Ask for Holy Spirit revival and awakening in your church. Ask for God’s heart for the billions who don’t know Him yet! Ask God to give you His heart for the billion yet to come into His family! Declare Athens shall be saved!
