Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12 (ESV)

Anxiety is usually a symptom of lack of faith. And many are anxious about not being in control. The reality is, we have never been nor ever will be in control! This is a huge season, of huge change, all of which we are not in control. Expectations can be dangerous! We may have hoped for something, even prayerfully believed for something to happen by now, but when it didn’t happen like we expected disappointment sets into our soul. It can directly attack our faith and become an open door for future anxiety, fear and doubt. It can ultimately lead to pulling away from Jesus and becoming lukewarm. Though revival tarries, it is coming! Do not allow disappointment, fear and control keep you from playing the part you are meant to play in hosting this historic time!

Please yield yourself completely to the Lord, right now. Repent for any place where you have allowed disappointment and unfulfilled expectations from the past several years to erode your faith. Don’t allow your disappointments, your fears and/or your anxiety to prevent you from being a vessel of God’s blessing and power flowing from you. Ask God to renew your faith, to reawaken your ability to dream and to believe for the impossible. Ask Him for new and impossible things to pray for, to believe for and to be a part of make happen. Thank Him for re-establishing you into your identity and destiny!
