“Very early in the morning the leading priests and the elders of the people met again to lay plans for putting Jesus to death. Then they bound Him, led Him away, and took Him to Pilate, the Roman governor.” Matthew 27:1-2 (NLT)
In Jesus’ day, compromised religious leaders were in partnership with the evil government, and together they put Jesus to death. The political realm is important! It is in the political realm that angels and demons meet up to fight! They fight for regions and control over nations! As such, the church cannot be silent about politics! The so-called separation of church and state was meant to keep the government out of church, not the other way, around. But because we have stayed out of the government, the government has invaded the church!
Yes, there are parts of the church who have sold out to this agenda. Their hands are guilty of compromise. As the true church, we are not to be silent about issues. Our silence has allowed abortion, and the defilement of the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, and even confusion regarding gender. We cannot remain silent anymore! Please teach your congregation the biblical values to stand on regarding these issues. By the way, God abhors the sacrificing of children on Baals altar (AKA abortion)!
A righteous message is not popular in a wicked generation! It never has been! Churches, pastors and followers of Jesus Christ are not meant to be popular! Jesus said that if the world hated Him, the world will hate us as well (John 15:18-19). Pastors are to preach about holiness, sin, hell, the cross, etc. These topics not very popular today. We’re called to be salt, and salt stings when applied to wounds and infections! We’re called to be light, and light exposes what is going on in the dark, hidden places!
The reason the serpent is leading this nation right now is only because the church has been silent. It is time to speak up, stand up and get involved! Please pray for boldness to speak up and stand on the issues of pro-life, marriage between a man and a woman, Israel, and the authority of the word of God. Pray for your pastor to have boldness to preach about tough Biblical issues, even if they are not popular! Ask the Holy Spirit to stir a holy awareness, a conviction of compromise and sin in your church. Ask God to show your pastor how to equip the saints on the issues of the day, including political ones! May your church become a voice for the Lord in a wicked generation!
