“For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:6-7 (ESV)

There are several bowls mentioned in the book of Revelation. These bowls are located in heaven and will be poured out. Several (like seven) are referred to as bowls of judgement (Revelation 16). But there are also bowls that are filling with the prayers of His saints (Revelation 5:8 and 8:5). And once these hit a critical mass, the answer to the prayers being prayed are poured out. We’re not just waiting for these bowls of heaven to be poured out. In our prayers, we are in the bowls. And we are about to be poured out upon the world. We have crossed a critical mass, passed the tipping point. Victory is coming, but the fight isn’t over. The enemy knows he has been defeated, so he acts like a wounded animal, fiercely attacking whoever is in his way! The thick darkness that seems to be overwhelming the world right now will become the backdrop for the greatest move of God ever experienced on this planet. The light will be so clear and attractive to those shackled in the darkness that they will come running to those have the light. That’s where we come in! The light that is risen and the glory that is coming is God’s presence in His people. He is about to pour His Spirit, His glory, His light out upon the world through us!!!

Cry out for God to remove everything in your life that is counter to His light, that includes anything blocking it, any compromise, any sin, any darkness that is hiding in the crevices of your soul. Ask Him for the grace to give your life, the best of all you have, for His purpose in this generation. Ask Him to fill you with His presence, His light, His glory, that those in the darkness would see it and come running to you! Ask Him to use you to bring about the knowledge of His glory to those around you (Habakkuk 2:14). Pray for your pastor to be so gripped with this reality that he would spend more time in prayer, fasting and worship, seeking more of God’s presence in his life, so that he can be a beacon for others. Cry out for God to prepare you, and your church to be poured out for His glory!
