Unity Prayer

Date: Sunday, April 5 / 9:30 – 11:00pm
Venue: Classic City Ministry Center – 386 Milledge Ave., Athens
Details: This is a “for college students only” that brings together students from many different campus ministries and several different churches. It is definitely a grassroots movement. If you’re a college student please come if you are able. If you know a college student, please pass the word to them. If you are not able to join us, please join us in prayer for our city and our university students from wherever you are at!

Prayer Summit
Date: Wednesday, April 8 / 9:00 – 10:30am
Location: Athens Church – 10 Huntington Road, Athens
Details: This is for senior pastors AND their pastoral teams, OR any one who is a pastor or minister in Athens, AND those who are key intercessors to come together for a time to connect and pray with other leaders of our city. This is a powerful and united gathering of God’s gatekeepers in Athens. Please mark your calendar and begin inviting others to this important prayer event!

Prayer for the Middle East & Africa
Date: Wednesday, April 8 / noon – 1:00pm
Location: Classic City Church Ministry Center – 386 Milledge Ave., Athens
Details: Everyone is welcome to join us to pray for the families and communities affected by the conflict in Syria and across the Middle East, and those in West Africa dealing with the Ebola epidemic.

Prayer Walking
Date: Saturday, April 11 / 10:00am – noon
Location: Meet at the UGA arch and we’ll go from there!
Details: This is open for everyone who wants to connect with other followers of Jesus, to strategically pray on the UGA campus and/or downtown Athens, and get some exercise! What an awesome opportunity!

Community (Prayer) Crusade
Date: Saturday, April 18  / 8:30 – 10:30am
Location: Hope Springs Christian Fellowship – 1025 Baxter Street, Athens 30606
Details: 4 or more churches from the Rocksprings area are drawing up a circle around the neighborhood in prayer. Folks will be kneeling in prayer around the parameter for 30 minutes. The boundaries are Baxter Street, Collins Avenue, Waddell Street, and Rocksprings Street. We’d love to have you join us if you can, even if you are not from the Rocksprings area. If you are not able to come, but want to join us in prayer from wherever you are at, please do so, specifically from 9:30-10am. Unity Prayer
Date: Sunday, April 26 / 9:30 – 11:00pm
Venue: Classic City Ministry Center – 386 Milledge Ave., Athens
Details: This is a “for college students only.” You won’t want to miss this last Unity Prayer for the school year. Even if you are not a college student, please pray for all the students as they finish up their term, many will be graduating and leaving Athens. Pray that God would protect and bring forth a harvest from the seeds that were planted in their hearts while at UGA. Pray also that God would prepare the hearts of those who will be returning to come back for a strong start in the Fall.

Worship Pastors / Directors Prayer
Date: Wednesday, April 29 / 9:00 – 10:00am
Location: Paul Reeve’s home
Details: This is an opportunity to connect and pray with other worship pastors / directors from Athens. (If you are a worship pastor/director, please email me and I’ll send you Paul’s address).

Please note the normal pastors prayer and all pastors & ministers prayer will not be meeting this month in lieu of the Pastors Prayer Summit which encompasses both groups.

Athens International Prayer Center
Open: M-F / 9:00am – 5:00pm, 5:15 – 6:15pm (prayer for individuals – needs, healing, etc.)
Thursdays – 6:30-8pm encounter gatherings.
Location: Cornerstone – 4680 Lexington Road, Athens
Details: Everybody is welcome to come for as little as a few minutes or stay several hours. It is a peaceful place to just sit with Jesus in the context of ongoing worship, to press in with God in intercession or even do some homework or business at one of the tables. National Day of Prayer
Date: Thursday, May 7 / Early morning through to night!
Location: All over Athens (and the USA)
Details: Join with tens of thousands of others across our nation, praying for our nation! This is going to be an awesome day of united prayer for our city, state and nation! The day will start with a prayer breakfast with Mark Richt. There will be ongoing prayer opportunities throughout the day, with prayer at the Courthouse steps at noon. The day with culminate with a citywide prayer gathering in the evening at Cornerstone Church.

I – Prayer Breakfast
Time: 7:00 – 8:30am; extended prayer time until 9:00am

II – Ongoing Hourly Prayer Opportunities
Time: 9:30am – 5:00pm
Location: Athens School of Ministry & Worship Arts (ASM&WA) – 1331 New High Shoals Rd, Watkinsville 30677
Details: Throughout the day we will be praying down specific themes. You can join us either at ASM&WA or wherever you are. Imagine specific prayer going up all over the city! With one voice across Athens, praying in agreement as the Lord leads you throughout the day our desire is to see an open heaven. III – Prayer at the Courthouse steps
Time: Noon – 1:00pm

Details: Starting promptly, there will be a time of public, corporate and unified prayer. This will be broadcast live on WMSL (88.9FM). The prayer focus will include… Government, Family, Church, UGA/Schools, and our City

IV – Citywide Prayer Gathering
Time: 7:00 – 9:00pm
Location: Cornerstone – 4680 Lexington Road, Athens, 30605
Details: Multiple churches from across Athens converging to worship and pray as one voice. Pastors and worship leaders from these churches will facilitate the prayer and worship throughout the evening. It is an amazing expression of the unity God is establishing in our city. You won’t want to miss this!!!
