What a crazy season of awesome opportunities! As we move into December people are way more open to accept an invite to a Christmas activity/service than they are at other times in the year! Please press in and pray night and day for all those you know who don’t know Jesus yet, that they would be open to join you this year. I will soon be sending out a list of times of the various Christmas services across Athens. Please cover them in prayer!

Athens Daily Prayer Texts
December 1 through April 1, 2017

A new round of the Athens Daily Prayer Texts has begun. These are short texts that go out every morning at 8am. Each text includes a brief bible verse and a focus for praying. To sign up text @athenspray to 81010. If you already receiving it, but haven’t let me know that you want to continue, please do so by replying “yes” in the text. Otherwise if I haven’t heard from you, you will stop receiving these after December 1. It is a way to let people off the Daily Text prayer train.

Student pastors from around Athens meet up to pray for and with each other and for the student ministries in our region. Pray for the student pastor in your congregation, as well as the others across Athens. Specifically ask God for a fresh move of the Spirit on the middle school and high school campuses across Athens! Definitely worth praying night and day for!
Citywide Prayer Leaders Gathering

This is a monthly gathering for those folks who lead (or facilitate) prayer ministries in Athens. It’s a great opportunity to connect, and pray together. Our next one will be on January 27, 2017.
Unity Prayer

Finishing off the year strong, college students from various campus ministries and churches across Athens converge for a time to pray together in unity for the campus and their lives. Please pray for these college students gathering together, specifically that God would intensify their hunger for Him.

Prayer for the Middle East

This is a focused prayer gathering for the Middle East and Israel. Usually get some updates from on the ground there, leading to very specific prayers. Please pray for Israel and the conflict in the Middle East.

Unity Reconciliation Gathering

This important gathering is for Senior Pastors ONLY. This will be the continuation of prayer and transparent discussion about racial reconciliation in Athens. Pastors please mark your calendar!
