Details: We are launching into our third Prayer Watch. This will pick up right where as the previous one ends. Again this is for three months. People sign up for one or more 30 minute slot, then watch and pray from wherever they are in that same slot each week. Details: We are calling the churches of Athens to come together for a night of repentance. Though we are experiencing a growing sense of unity in Athens, we are nowhere near to what we need to be. There are still divisions between black and white churches in our city. There are churches here that will not have anything to do with certain other churches in Athens. And because of doctrinal differences there are churches that just want to stay at arms length from others. There are churches that are stuck in wounds from a past generation, but just can’t move on. As the prayer level increases and unity grows we believe this night of repentance is a step forward as one church in our city (after all, that’s how Jesus sees the church). We are calling a fast on the day to help prepare the way. Please join us if you can, and definitely pass the word to the praying folks across Athens!
