“Then if My people who are called by My name
will humble themselves and pray
and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways,
I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins
and restore their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)

Revival doesn’t happen in a vacuum, nor does it come accidentally. God uses people to prepare the way for the Lord (Matthew 11:10). He stirs and calls people to prepare the way, through humility, prayer, repentance and a deeper hunger for Him. Everywhere that revival has come, it has come because people, sometimes just a handful, believed and were desperate enough to seek God for it until it came! Will you be one of those desperate ones who will not relent until God moves in our city?

God promises in Acts 3:19-20 that if we will repent and turn toward Him, He will pour out times of refreshing. Are you willing to chase after Him and prepare the way for revival in our city through whatever it takes? Please join the growing number of folks in Athens who are becoming more and more desperate for Him and are stepping up in desperate prayer!!!

May God, who is faithful, grant you a new depth and desperation in every level of your praying! Here are some great opportunities to pray for and with others this month and beyond.

Pastors Racial Unity Gathering
Thursday, March 28 / 10am to noon
Hill Chapel Baptist Church – 1692 W Hancock Ave, Athens, GA 30606

God is doing amazing things in our city through this group of black and white pastors from Athens, who come together every two months to intentionally discuss and pray through various racial issues we live in. God is definitely tearing down walls and removing obstacles that divide us, and is building authentic relationships amongst these spiritual gatekeepers of our city. Please pray for God’s momentum to continue into this next gathering. Pray that the ground of racial unity that has already been taken would be occupied and that more territory would be taken. Pray that God would give us His strategies to lead us into a reconciled, unified and transformed Athens!
