Between Friday, September 25 and election day, we will share a different daily prayer focus. We have prepared 40 different prayer missiles to be fired during this season in the buildup to this important election. The clearer the target the more accurate the hit. These daily prayer missiles are to provide you a launch pad to pray throughout the day. Each day these will be posted on the APN Facebook page at 7am.
I understand that we are living in a day where people are so sensitive and easily offended. We will be focusing a lot of prayer on abortion. Please pray for God’s will to be done in this election. Ask God for the government that would best provide a context for His work to advance in and through our nation. And pray that God would give a historic undisputed and indisputable clear result with no violent resistance following the election.
These daily prayer missiles are not posted for discussion, but for prayer. Please do not reply unless it is positive and prayer focused. These prayer missiles are not exhaustive or represent everything that needs to be prayed for during these next 40 days. Please invite the Holy Spirit to lead you and pray through you as you pray toward the 2020 elections (Romans 8:26-27).

Prayer Missile 1 – September 25
“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness but rather expose them.” Ephesians 5:11 (NIV)
May God bring EVERYTHING in our nation that is in the darkness into the light (Ephesians 5:8-14) and that NOTHING would remain hidden. As we begin our 40 day praying toward the election, ask God to reveal the hidden things in the foundation of our nation that may influence the results of this election. Ask God to expose the cornerstones of our nation that were not of Him. Ask God to expose the places where the candidates stand on faulty foundations. Ask Him to expose everything that is intentionally or incidentally hidden from the public’s eye. And ask God for open eyes to see what He is exposing.
Prayer Missile 2 – September 26
“Everything exposed by light becomes visible.” Ephesians 5:13 (NIV)
Abortion is a terrible thing! In so many ways our nation has grown cold to the hideousness of abortion. Many have been deceived into thinking it is just the removal of tissue. Bottomline, it is the murder of the most innocent! Please pray that the Church would wake up to this truth. Pray for each candidate and their party’s stance on abortion to be truly seen for what it is, that nothing would remain hidden.

Prayer Missile 3 – September 27
Ask the Holy Spirit to shift the spiritual climate over our nation by the church choosing to bless instead of cursing the candidates. Our disunity shouts loudly to the world. Pray for all of the presidential candidates in the 2020 election. Ask for peace and life over Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and over President Donald Trump and VP Mike Pence. Ask God to abundantly pour out His love, power and wisdom upon each of them. Ask God to visit them with His goodness. Cry out for God to bring each of them into the fullness of His purposes and plans, for them and for our nation! Plead for the Father to make His name holy through them, and for His kingdom to come and will to be done by them “as it is in heaven!” Pray for miracles!!!
Prayer Missile 4 – September 28
“For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.” Ephesians 5:12 (NIV)
There is a shocking link between abortion, Planned Parenthood and sex trafficking. Please pray that God would continue to expose these hidden works of darkness. And that our nation, but especially the church, would have eyes to see it!
Prayer Missile 5 – September 29
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6 (CSB)
Many young people today do not have an accurate understanding of America’s amazing history. Many proclaim to be “socialists” or support the socialist platform, but don’t even know what it is. They have been lied to by the media, by a corrupted education system and worse, a lukewarm Church. Though our country is not perfect nor has a perfect past (sin, racism, slavery, murder…), God has moved powerfully here in the past and has used this nation in amazing ways. Ask God to rip up, tear out, lift and completely remove the veil and deception that keeps people from seeing the truth in our nation. Cry out for God to open the eyes of this nation to see these things that are being exposed, as they really are and as they really happened, the good and the evil (ALL TRUTH), starting with the church (including ourselves). Ask God to release a faith in the church to make Him first and foremost and to live and love like it. And ask God for courage to speak up, to vote and to vote Biblically with truth-based knowledge.
Prayer Missile 6 – September 30
“So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous.” Exodus 1:20 (NIV)
The Book of Exodus starts out with Pharaoh attempting to kill all the Hebrew baby boys at the point of birth. But thanks to a few “midwives” who feared God more than they feared Pharaoh, this devilish plot did not succeed. And because these midwives feared God, He blessed them with their own families. These few made a difference for the many, and got blessed too! Please pray for those who are actively fighting on behalf of the unborn today. Ask God to give them success in their efforts. Ask God to bless them tremendously. And ask God to bless the candidates who are pro-life.
Prayer Missile 7 – October 1
It is estimated that nearly 100 million eligible voters did not vote for a president in the 2016 elections. And a huge chunk of those were believers. Please pray that followers of Christ would register to vote and then prayerfully consider the candidates that best fit the Biblical criteria of pro-life and other Godly values. Pray for an undisputed and indisputable result with the most legal voters ever to the polls. BTW, October 5 is the deadline for online registration.
Prayer Missile 8 – October 2
The truth about Margaret Sanger is getting out. She was the architect of Planned Parenthood and they are now trying to distance themselves from her. According to Wikipedia “her goal was to eliminate all people of color.” Please pray today that our nation would see that Planned Parenthood is not for people of color, and that abortion is a weapon the enemy is using against them. Pray that God would put in office people who would defund Planned Parenthood and change the laws in our land regarding abortion.
Prayer Missile 9 – October 3
“Our Father in heaven, Your name be honored as holy.” Matthew 6:9 (CSB)
Right now, there is a fight going on for the next Supreme Court Justice to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg with Amy Coney Barrett. Please pray for Amy and her family throughout this process. As I understand it, the president in office in this next term will have the opportunity to seat more. This will turn the tide of law for decades to come. Why this is so important is that it is here that the abortion laws will be overturned or upheld. Pray for the candidates who are pro-life and will seat pro-life justices in as many of the courts as possible over the next four years. Pray for candidates who would appoint justices who would honor our heavenly Father’s holy name in the courts across our nation.
Prayer Missile 10 – October 4
“Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him.” Matthew 10:4 (NIV)
Sadly, Judas is known for betraying Jesus. He was deceived and entrapped by the devil. Once the devil was done with him, Judas realized what he had done and took his life. Pray that God would lift the deception off each candidate and show them where they are entrapped by the devil. Cry out for God’s grace over each one to know and be set free by the truth.
Prayer Missile 11 – October 5
“When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” Luke 1:41 (NIV)
The child in the womb is a person with a story and destiny waiting for them to step into. It is an abomination to wipe these children out under the guise of “any circumstance!” Babies in the womb can sense God’s presence. While John the Baptist was in his mother’s womb, when his mother heard Mary’s voice, she was filled with the Holy Spirit and John leaped for joy (v.44). He was not simply tissue waiting to be delivered as a baby. He was a real live human being who was capable of being filled with the Holy Spirit. Pray that a paradigm shift would occur in our nation and that the value and personhood of the unborn would be embraced. Pray that God would raise up a government that would reverse Roe vs Wade and that other means to assist women in non-abortive ways would be raised up.
Prayer Missile 12 – October 6
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” 2 Corinthians 10:4 (NIV)
Cry out for the church to stop fighting this battle like the world does. We have weapons that have divine power to demolish strongholds! A stronghold is an argument that sets itself above God and His truth. As we pray for the upcoming elections, ask God to demolish every place that is set up against Him and the truth of who He is! And ask Him for a grace in His Church to stop fighting like the world does.
Prayer Missile 13 – October 7
“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” Ephesians 1:17 (NIV)
I realize it may be a stretch, but please pray that God would release heavenly wisdom and revelation on each candidate that they might know who He is and how great His love is for them!
Prayer Missile 14 – October 8
“And they have filled this place with the blood of innocent children. They have built pagan shrines to Baal, and there they burn their sons as sacrifices to Baal. I have never commanded such a horrible deed; it never even crossed My mind to command such a thing!” Jeremiah 19:4b-5 (NLT)
God was shocked by His people adopting the appalling practices of other nations, who offered up their children to the foreign god of Baal. Israel ultimately fell under the judgment of God because of this practice. Honestly, with the US murdering over 60 million unborn children over the last fifty years we, too, have been feeding the bloodlust of Molech. It is said that Francis Schaeffer, a Christian philosopher of the 70’s and 80’s put it this way, “Every abortion clinic should have a sign in front of it that says, ‘OPEN BY PERMISSION OF THE CHURCH.’” Please cry out in repentance for the Church’s silence over these years.
Prayer Missile 15 – October 9
“You answer our prayers with amazing wonders and with awe-inspiring displays of power.” Psalm 65:5 (TPT)
Thank God for what He is going to do because of the church praying for this election. Ask Him to awaken multitudes of prayers across our nation who are asking Him to release His amazing wonders and awe-inspiring answers to our prayers. Pray that God would awaken authentic, faith-filled, believing prayer for the candidates. Ask God to use this prayer as a catalyst for revival and awakening in our nation.
Prayer Missile 16 – October 10
Psalm 127 tells us that children are a heritage and that the fruit of the womb is a reward. Yet abortion robs this heritage and reward. When a child is ripped from the womb, a great loss occurs. Families miss out on their heritage and children miss out on their destiny! Sadly, the adoption process is twisted, complicated and unrealistic. Cry out to God to bring bold changes to the adoption process so that children who previously would have been aborted or left in the system can be quickly and more easily placed in Christian homes. Pray for a government that would support this process.
Prayer Missile 17 – October 11
“Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 2 Kings 6:16 (NIV)
One morning Elisha and his servant woke up to discover that the enemy had surrounded their city. But Elisha knew that God’s army was greater. He asked God to open Gehazi’s eyes to see, and instantly it became obvious that the enemy dwarfed in comparison to the angelic army of fiery chariots. Ask God to mobilize and strengthen the fiery angelic armies surrounding the election process … to protect the candidates, to sustain them, to make passage where it is currently blocked or locked, and to fight for God’s holy name and purposes!
Prayer Missile 18 – October 12
“All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” Matthew 5:37 (NIV)
Other versions say that anything that springs forth beyond this is of the deceiver (TPT). There is so much lying and deception going on. Ask God to grant His people discernment to see through it. Ask God to bind up the lying spirit that is operating in the candidates as well as in the media outlets. Revelation 21:8 says “all liars” (among others) will be thrown into the eternal lake of fire. Why so harsh? God is TRUTH, meaning everything about Him is truthful. Truth is necessary for relationship as well for leading a country. So, pray that God would convict every lying politician to speak truthfully. And to put into office those who are truthful.
Prayer Missile 19 – October 13
“With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man.” Genesis 4:1 (NIV)
From the very beginning it was acknowledged that God is involved in a baby being born. When an abortion occurs, God’s work is interfered with. Just as it is God’s desire for all men to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9) but not all are, it’s His desire that every baby is born. But not all are! Pray that God’s will and desire would be done in our nation, at such a time as this, through a righteous government!
Prayer Missile 20 – October 14
“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.” James 3:13 (NIV)
Wisdom that is driven from selfish ambition and bitter envy is earthly, unspiritual and even demonic. It produces disorder and every evil practice (v15-16). But wisdom from above is pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, good fruit, impartial and sincere (v.17). Ask God to expose earthly wisdom and pour out heavenly wisdom on the candidates. Ask God to release a grace for humility over the candidates, and from that place all the characteristics of God’s wisdom from above to be released in their lives.
Prayer Missile 21 – October 15
“Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men.” Matthew 2:16 (ESV)
When King Herod learned that the wise men tricked him, he sent his soldiers to kill babies in hope to eliminate Christ. The enemy is still furious and is desiring to kill babies, babies of destiny, who were meant to be world changers. Aborted babies never grow up to surrender their lives to Jesus and accomplish great things for the kingdom of God. Pray that wise men will still fight on behalf unborn children. Pray that the candidates would be more like the wise men than Herod!
Prayer Missile 22 – October 16
“The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” Genesis 2:15 (NIV)
One of man’s responsibilities from the very beginning was to steward the earth that God had given him. We have not really done a very good job with that responsibility. From individuals littering, to corporations dumping toxins into our rivers and atmosphere, to our government making crazy laws that ultimately harms this planet or stupid laws that really don’t do anything. Ask the Lord to pour out grace on our precious land. Pray that the truth about climate change, and the green deal would be revealed. That every hidden agenda behind it would be exposed and that candidates would truly be gripped with our need to care for God’s creation!
Prayer Missile 23 – October 17
“Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel…” Revelation 2:20 (NIV)
So much of our culture tears men down, especially as seen through Hollywood. Even cartoons often display men as stupid and weak willed. Feminism is vile in God’s eyes, and besides emasculating men from being who God desires them to be, it seeks a place that is unbiblical. Pray that God would set the women politicians and candidates free from the deception of feminism. Ask God to open our eyes to this reality and the demonic power behind it. Ask God to raise up Esthers and Deborahs in every sphere of influence, from government, to education, to the arts, to business, etc.
Prayer Missile 24 – October 18
“Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 (NIV)
Right now with so much deception and lack of truth, ask God to expose and bring into light (Ephesians 5:11-14)…
… what is truth and what is not true that the candidates are espousing…
… every work of the devil to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10)…
… and demolish every stronghold and argument that sets itself up against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, Colossians 2:8)…
… every place that deception is operating…
… the ‘rats,’ the traitors and betrayers…
… the anti-Christ spirit and lawlessness (2 Thessalonians 2)…
… every form of witchcraft, Jezebel, Ahab…
… the spirit of rebellion…
… the spirit of independence and humanism…
… the ‘bottom dwellers,’ the darkness, and lies…
… the parasites and remove them…
… the fake news, fake narrative and fake history and replace with truth…
… corrupt law enforcement officials (FBI, CIA, NSA, DHS, police, DOJ, sheriff, ICE, etc.). Cry out for God to reform the law enforcement agencies and to dismantle corrupt police unions…
… and bring the liars, murderers, abortionists, law breakers, evil doers, the opposers and the false accusers to account….
… the root and the fruit of the left, of socialism and of Marxism…
… the BLM agenda…
… the Antifa agenda…
… the truth behind ‘anti-racism’ and white privilege…
… the truth behind systemic racism and white guilt…
… the false prophets – i.e. the media…
… every corporation that is suppressing the truth and is working against free speech…
… every place where foreign powers are working against us (i.e. China, Russia, North Korea, Iran)…
… plans for revolution and civil war and dismantle them…
… the infrastructure of evil in our nation!

Prayer Missile 25 – October 19
“The Lord has driven out before you great and powerful nations; to this day no one has been able to withstand you.” Joshua 23:9 (NIV)
Throughout the centuries of our nation’s existence, God has protected us from many enemies who sought to conquer and/or destroy us. God has been our Rock, who trained our hands for war and our fingers for battle (Psalm 144:1). Ask God to continue to provide a hedge of protection around the U.S. Ask Him to expose all evil schemes against our nation (both inside and out) and guide our leaders in every aspect of foreign policy and national security.
Prayer Missile 26 – October 20
“You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born.” Psalm 139:15-16a (NLT)
God is intimately involved in the unborn child. He weaves children together in their mother’s womb. Abortion is an outright offense against what God is working in the hidden place of the womb. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would change the tide of opinion in our nation. Pray that politicians would come under conviction and into agreement with God about the sanctity of the unborn child!
Prayer Missile 27 – October 21
“Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart.” Zechariah 7:9-10 (ESV)
Immigration is a very hot topic and is usually misrepresented. Legal immigration is much different from illegal immigration. The US has always been a home for the immigrant. Pray that God would give us a government who supports the immigrant, those who legally come to the USA to make it their new home. And for illegal immigrants to be treated and processed in a manner that honors the Lord. Ask God to grant even greater wisdom to our leaders as they weed out those who don’t want to assimilate into our culture and/or desire to do us harm! Ask God to bring true peace in our land. Ask God that His righteousness and justice would prevail. Ask God to make America a place that shows kindness to foreigners, while honoring all the citizens who do live here.
Prayer Missile 28 – October 22
“They built the high places of Baal in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to offer up their sons and daughters to Molech, though I did not command them, nor did it enter into My mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.” Jeremiah 32:35 (ESV)
God is angry about the high places of Baal where our children are being offered up to Molech as sacrifices to demonic powers. Abortion in our nation is a sin that God will hold us accountable for. There is a high-level demonic power behind it. Please repent on behalf of the abomination of child sacrifice in the US. Repent of your own lust or complicity. Ask God for mercy and a bold leadership in our nation to make the necessary changes of the laws and opinions about abortion. Cry out for God to be merciful to our nation.
Prayer Missile 29 – October 23
“In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent.” Acts 17:30 (NIV)
It is time for repentance to sweep across our nation! At the end of the day (that is after election day), what we need more than the “right party” in office, is God to move powerfully in our nation. We need healing between races, between genders, within marriages and in families. We need revival. We need awakening. We need transformation! Cry out for God to convict EVERYONE in the USA of their sin and of their need to come into a transforming and saving relationship with Jesus Christ. It is truly time for us to repent as a nation.
Prayer Missile 30 – October 24
“Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.” Matthew 10:15 (NIV)
Sodom and Gomorrah are known for extreme moral depravity and immorality with no righteous people and were judged because of it! But you have got to wonder how God compares America today with Sodom and Gomorrah of old. Our nation is full of unthinkable perversion, lust which drives pornography, prostitution and sex trafficking. Hollywood has desensitized us. California has just passed laws for adults to have inappropriate relations with a child. Cry for God to have mercy on our land, on the church and our government that has enacted laws that not only permit these things but promote them as well (after all, it’s big business). Pray that God would sensitize His children to the sexual defilement that is so readily accepted as just the norm by the church. Pray that each candidates’ stance on these issues would be exposed and that the church would see and vote accordingly!
Prayer Missile 31 – October 25
“Those trouble makers who have turned the world upside down have come here to our city.” Acts 17:6 (TPT)
Public worship gatherings have been occurring across our nation with repentance, salvation, deliverance and baptisms. In a day where there is much hostility toward the Gospel being preached and worship being offered to Jesus, Sean Feucht and team are stirring things up. Today there is one scheduled in Washington DC. Pray for the thousands who will converge in DC to be filled with the Holy Spirit and for worship to turn our nations capital upside down, with shock waves reverberating across our nation. Also pray for their protection. And that the LIGHT would overwhelm the darkness.

Prayer Missile 32 – October 26
“… Elisha the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king the very words you speak in your bedroom.” 2 Kings 6:12 (NIV)
Attacks upon Israel were being thwarted by prophetic insight into their plans. What they planned to do was being exposed to the King of Israel through Elisha. Ask God to reveal the evil plans being made against our nation, both from the inside and out!
Prayer Missile 33 – October 27
“Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” James 1:19-20 (ESV)
The hostility of the world has invaded the church! Sadly, so much of the church is complaining, accusing, cursing and avoiding each other. Yet Jesus said the greatest commandments were to love God with everything we are and to love each other as Christ loves us! Ask God to pour out healing and reconciliation within the church. Jesus said that the world would know Him because of our love for each other. We’ve not done that very well in this season. Confess where you (and your church) have participated in man’s ways instead of God’s. Man’s anger does not accomplish God’s purposes. Ask God to forgive His church for acting and looking like the world. Right now, bless and pray for those who you know don’t see things the same way you do!
Prayer Missile 34 – October 28
“Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” 1 Timothy 2:2 (NLT)
During this season of pandemic, we have seen the unimaginable, churches unconstitutionally being closed down by the government. While protestors freely marched without masks, the church in many states has been pressured to close their doors. There are some in the government who seem to prefer the Christian voice to be silenced. Please pray that the candidates’ true stance on Christian freedoms would be seen to all in our nation, especially within the church. Pray that God would put into office leaders who will protect your religious freedoms.
Prayer Missile 35 – October 29
“Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.” Psalm 122:6 (NLT)
The Lord still loves His chosen people, the promised descendants of Abraham and promises to bless those who love them and pray for them. Cry out to God for a government who will stand with and protect Israel.
Prayer Missile 36 – October 30
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)
Our battle is spiritual. Ask God to give you (and your church) eyes to see into the unseen realm especially at such a time as this. As we head into Halloween weekend, cry out for God to expose and bind up the dark spiritual forces at work in our nation.
Ask God to nullify through the blood of Jesus all the “sacrifices” going on this weekend. Cry out for the enemy’s plans to be brought into the light.
Prayer Missile 37 – October 31
“This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.” Genesis 2:24 (NLT)
As God had directed, marriage has always been between a man and woman. From the very beginning God planned for a man to marry a woman and the two become one flesh. Then together they were to have children and fill the earth. Today, God’s way has been perverted. Throughout the Bible whenever and wherever, God’s ways are perverted, His judgment was not far behind. Cry out for mercy on our nation for its acceptance, even (especially) within the church, of the unbiblical same sex marriages. Pray that God would reveal where candidates truly stand on this, and that the church would vote according to God’s holy standard not simply by what is acceptable. Remember, God has not changed, He is still holy!
Prayer Missile 38 – November 1
“Mankind, He has told each of you what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 (CSB)
Racism is a hideous sin! To see oneself or people as better, superior to others is sin. America was meant to be a nation where people were treated equally and where there was liberty and justice for all! And yet, it has been so subverted in America and in the church. Cry out to the Father to forgive us the sins of injustice in our nation. Cry out for Him to heal our prejudices and help us to truly see one another as He see us. Ask God for His justice to be established in our land. Pray that our leaders would walk in a new depth of humility.
Prayer Missile 39 – November 2
“I pray to God that both you and those here listening to me would one day become the same as I am, except, of course, without these chains.” Acts 26:29 (TPT)
Paul testifying before King Agrippa proclaimed that he desired that everyone in his hearing would surrender to Christ. Ask God to bring conviction of sin and salvation, release awakening and reveal truth amongst the candidates for the White House and across our nation.
Prayer Missile 40 – November 3
On this day, please pray for a fair election. Pray that every legal vote would be counted and every illegal vote would be exposed and cast aside. Ask God to expose the boxes of fraudulent ballots that are waiting to change the outcome. Ask God for an outright, indisputable and undeniable victory for the candidates that He desires in office. Proclaim the Father’s will to be done and His kingdom to be advanced through those who are elected.
