“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that He considered me trustworthy, appointing me to His service.” 1 Timothy 1:12 (NIV)
The enemy works very hard to dislodge us from God’s appointment in our life! Ultimately, he will distract us, then deceive us, so he can destroy us. After all, his strategy has not changed, he still comes to steal, kill and destroy, but he can’t do anything when we are in alignment with God. As long as our eyes are fixed on Jesus, we remain hidden in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91). So, the devil must distract us. Let me just say, this has been a season of much distraction! In the midst of the distraction, deception and destruction of this past season it is amazing that we’re still standing. But by the grace of God!!! Our disappointments easily cause us to step away from our appointment, that is, what God has called us to. It is time to fix our eyes back on Jesus, shake off the disappointment, and allow the Lord to re-appoint us where He has called us.
You are not a victim, but the enemy has many believing that right now. You are more than a conqueror, you are an overcomer (Romans 8:37)! It is not something you will be. Rather, it is a spiritual reality of what actually already is. The enemy has distracted and deceived so many that they want to tap out, give up and walk away from their calling!
Renounce that lie, and declare you are not a victim, but a victor. You are not a failure, but winner. Tell Him that you will not give up, but will step up in this hour and fight the good fight (1 Timothy 6:12). Repent of anything that you have spoken out over your life in this season that is contrary to the word and will of God. Begin speaking the truth over your life. Your situation may not change (instantly), but you will! Ask Him to re-appoint you of any and every place where your disappointment has knocked you out of position!
