“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 (ESV)
Obviously, we have three frames of reference… the past, the present and the future. Though Jesus is eternal, no longer stuck in one of the three frames of references, we do live in the now, the present. The enemy wants to weigh us down by all the whirlwinds of trials, chaos, rebellion, darkness and sin that is so prevalent around us. It is so easy to get sucked into the vortex of the current state of affairs in our world. Whether it be Trump being relentlessly attacked, or the Biden who continues to be exposed for his corruption but nothing seems to be done about it, or world war three quickly accelerating, or a new pandemic, or economic crash, or personal dilemmas suffocating us… I think you get the picture.
Then add to that our past that tries to define us, limit us, shackle us and cover us with shame and hopelessness. Our mistakes, our pre-Christ days, even the sins of our forefathers, have a way to lock us up, keeping us from stepping into our identity and destiny.
But there is another option, reaching into our future and bringing it into our now! I am not talking about time travel, but through faith, prayer and declaration of God’s Word!
You see our future is perfect, without sin, without tarnish, because we nor the devil have been there yet! Nevertheless, that is where God is. His Word is eternal, it stands firm (Psalm 119:89). So, no matter what the present is doing, you have a God drenched future. Your future is full of hope, possibility and promise. Reach up into it. Grab hold of all God has for you and bring it into the present. You do that by declaring what the Word of God says about you, about your family about our nation and the end of time.
Declare that you are seated with Christ in the heavenly realm. You are a co-heir with Him. As such, you have authority, purpose, destiny and identity. You are anointed, appointed, called and chosen. You are loved, you have tremendous worth, beyond any labels, titles and positions that can be earned by working harder. You are worth more than the amount of money you earn from your job! You see, the value, worth of something is determined by what price the purchaser is willing to pay. And Jesus paid for your life, for a relationship with you with His precious, priceless blood. That means you are precious and priceless!
Declare that God blesses the children to the thousandth generation of those who love and obey Him. Remind God that you love and obey Him (Exodus 20:6). Remind God that He rescues the children of warriors (Isaiah 49:25). God says that if you train up your children in the way they should go they will not depart from it when they are older (Proverbs 22:6). Declare that over your prodigal children! Declare that your children are blessing and a reward from Him (Psalm 127:3), no matter how it looks today!
Declare that our nation will be saved. The wealth of the wicked will be transferred to the righteous to finance the great harvest that is coming. The evil doers, the pedophiles, the murderers, the liars, the deceivers, the immoral, etc., will be exposed and removed. The Kingdom of Heaven is upon us.
Declare that we are on the verge of the greatest revival, the culmination of all revivals, a harvest of over one billion souls and the Bride being prepared for her wedding feast! Jesus will have a Bride who has prepared herself.
Add your own declarations from God’s Word, and keep declaring your future into your present!!!
