“After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it, that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things known from of old.” Acts 15:16-18 (ESV)

Tabernacle of David is connected to the harvest of Gentiles – the remnant of mankind. It was prophesied that when the tent of David is restored the plowman will overtake the reaper (Amos 9:11-13). This speaks of a great harvest!!! David’s original tabernacle was tapping into a heavenly reality where worship is nonstop. David was a tomorrow person, a prototype, calling forth the future into his day, and ours!

The restored Tabernacle represents releasing Jesus’ heart for the nations. Jesus said that His house would be characterized by prayer, joy and the nations (Isaiah 56:7). How many believers actually feel Jesus’ heart for the lost? Do you? When was the last time you groaned in intercession for the lost in your city, let alone in your family?

The tent of David speaks of evangelism AND worship working together to release God’s presence on earth! I have heard it said that we are the “rise and shine generation” that Isaiah prophesied about (60:1-2). Typically, on the third Thursday of each month at AHOP we combine worship and evangelism. After about 30 minutes of worshiping together we commission and send out those who want to go downtown to share their faith. Mark your calendar and please be looking for ways to join us for these Third Thursday Outreaches in 2024.

Ask God to stir your heart and emotions to feel what He feels, especially for the lost and broken. Ask Him to show you how to pray according to the things that are on His heart (Romans 8:26-27). Ask Him to show you how to invest more of yourself in His restored tabernacle this coming year, to show you how to make more space for Him! And ask Him to restore the tent of David in our city!!!
