“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?” Luke 14:28 (NIV)
Praying and preparing for revival is one thing. Sustaining it long term, is another thing. The Holy Spirit clearly moves where a place has been prepared. Every move of God comes with a price tag. Are you willing to pay it? Jesus said that wise builders will first consider the cost of their project.
Ask the Lord to show you the price that revival is going to cost you (i.e. inconvenience, loss of sleep, messes, finances, increased prayer and other responsibility, sacrifice, etc.). Ask Him for the grace to be willing to prepare a place for Him. Ask Him to stir the leadership of your church to count the cost and begin moving forward with preparing for the Holy Spirit’s arrival. We’ve prayed for this baby, now He’s coming, so let’s make sure His room has been adequately, carefully (even extravagantly) prepared! We don’t want to miss our day of visitation!
