“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 (ESV)

Our God is the same today as He was on the day of creation, and even before it!

God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8, Psalm 102:27). There is no shifting shadow or turning with Him (James 1:17). He was, is and is to come (Revelation 4:8). Our God is everlasting and eternal (Deuteronomy 33:27, Isaiah 9:6, 1 Timothy 1:17).

His promises remain. He is faithful in all His word. In fact, He watches over His word to fulfill it (Jeremiah 1:12). Not one of His words ever fail. The Archangel Gabriel told Mary that “nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37 ESV), or as another translation put it, “For the word of God will never fail” (NLT). His promises are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20)! God’s word never fails!!!

He has not changed His stance on marriage just because a perverted twisted illegitimate government passes a law against Biblical marriage (November 30, 2022). Nor has He shifted what He thinks about gender, murder (abortion), slavery, or lying. While neither He or His standard has changed over the millenniums, His promises don’t either!

He promises to never leave us or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8). He promises to save the children of warriors (Isaiah 49:25). He promises that if we pray and believe He will answer (Mark 11:24). He promises to return for a pure spotless bride (Ephesians 5:25-27, Revelation 19:7-8). He makes many more promises to us, and even personally, to each of us, if we are listening.

And many of His promises require an action from us, such as His rebuking the devourer comes with the requirement of being a tither. Likewise, if He has promised you the gift of healing, you got to throw yourself out there and pray for others, literally as many as you can!

Thank the Lord for His faithfulness, for being and acting the same yesterday today and forever! Thank Him for all His promises to you! Ask Him to prepare you to receive the promises He has made for you, your marriage, and your children. Ask Him to show you any place where you are hindering the fulfillment of His promises to you. Repent and bring into the light any place you have allowed the doors to be shut on His promises. Ask Him to bring everything into alignment in our city in order for His purposes and plans to be fulfilled!
