Paul spoke much about the spiritual realm. His teaching reveals multiple levels of demons and angels, with varying degrees of authority and power. He talked of powers, principalities, rulers, authorities, and spiritual forces (Ephesians 3:10, 6:12). Jesus talked of and dealt with evil, filthy spirits, and demons, as well as the devil himself. The Bible also reveals multiple levels of angels and angelic beings, such as seraphim (Isaiah 6), cherubim (Genesis 3:24), living creatures (Revelation 4:6, Ezekiel 1), archangels (1 Thessalonians 4:16, Jude 1:9), angels (throughout Revelation), the heavenly host (Psalm 103:21, 148:2), and heaven’s army (Psalm 46:7, Isaiah 8:13).
We live in a day where the spiritual battle is raging, the veil between the natural and the supernatural is so very thin. Angels, demons AND man are specifically fighting in the political. It does not take much discernment to see that there is an all-out war in the spiritual realm right now. And it’s over man, specifically men who lead nations. You see, those who lead nations impact the world! And to a lesser degree, but still important, for states and cities. Demons need human vessels to accomplish their master’s plans. That’s why we need to pray for, get involved in, and engage in spiritual warfare at a governmental level. Sadly, many men in our nation and across the globe, have yielded themselves to the devil, believing the lies and promises they’ll receive for their surrender. The devil is a liar, and he will not and cannot deliver on his promises. Also, so many churches simply feel it is best to be quiet about “political” issues, so they never mobilize their congregations to fight this sphere of battle. Just last night our local city council rammed their progressive agenda through, despite what people voiced, approving measures to undermine the new abortion restrictions, and to approve marijuana.
Btw, heavens armies were not created to protect heaven, but to battle for God’s people and purposes on earth! Michael the archangel, is commander over the host of heaven. These heavenly warrior creatures are here to fight! In fact, many prophetic voices are saying they have assembled here and now for this battle!
All this to say… please pray! Pray for God to increase His heavenly army on earth. Pray that those who have surrendered to the devil and have thus become his vassals, would be stripped of their demonic powers that protect them, and removed from their position of influence over our nation, state and city. Pray for the church in our nation to be willing to see and engage in this spiritual battle at all levels from our personal lives, to home, church, city, state and nation. Pray that God would show you your battle field and how to engage in it!
