“By the blast of Your nostrils the waters piled up. The surging waters stood firm, like a wall; the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.” Exodus 15:8 (NIV)
We are in a day that many consider the Rea Sea passing and closing. I was mediating upon this exodus passage called Moses’ Song and it really struck me that the “waters stood firm!” As I looked into it I discovered that the phrase means “to stand, to take one’s stand, to be set, to be established, to stand firm” (Strongs). We are in an hour where we are to stand firm on what we believe. We are to take a stand, to not be silent about what the Bible says about this or that, especially in light of all our currents issues. The enemy wants us to not stand firm like a wall, but to back away and pretend everything is ok. But as we stand, more will stand, and together we will stand firm like a wall.
Whatever you’re facing, stand firm!
No matter what your eyes may be telling you, stand firm!
No matter what tyranny is trying to do in our nation, stand firm!
May God use us, His people to stand firm in this hour! May God use us, His people to play a part in turning our nation back to God! May the Lord strengthen your faith to stand firm in this hour!
Ask the Lord to grant you the grace and boldness to stand firm on His Word, on what you believe, even if you feel like you are standing alone! Your standing may bring reaction and criticism, but it will also strengthen others who are watching! Ask Him to strengthen others that you know who are being called to stand in this hour. Ask God to strengthen your pastor to stand firm on the word of God and not back down an inch!
