“Stand your ground, …” Ephesians 6:14a (NLT)
Paul tells us to be on our guard, stand firm in our faith, be people of courage and to do everything in love (1 Corinthians 16:13-14). How each of us walk this out will be unique! Every one of us has a different level of talents (Matthew 25:14-30), and a revelation of who Jesus is which impacts our uniquely personal experience (walk) with Him! We are called to guard that which we’ve been entrusted with (1 Timothy 6:20), and all of us have a different sphere to watch over in that regard. We cannot judge each other from our own perspective, because we all have been given a specific measure of grace (Mark 13:34, Ephesians 4:7). Nevertheless, we are ALL required to stand firm on what we believe, and in this season, it is truly being tested. Please do not relinquish one inch of the faith territory that God has given you, even if you feel like you are standing alone. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! God is preparing a remnant of wholehearted lovers of Jesus, who will radically follow Him wherever He goes (Revelation 14:4).
Please pray for others who feel alone, who feel darkness is looming, even crouching at the door. Cry out for God to strengthen the intercessors across our nation as they battle in prayer. These hours are so critical for us to pray and not give up (Luke 18:1). Ask God to teach us how to walk in a greater grace with one another, choosing to believe that each one is pursuing the heart of God for their own assignment, and that they’d be faithful to Him. This means sometimes we will not understand each other’s assignment. May the Lord meet you today as you stand your ground!!!
