“The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” Psalm 53:1 (ESV)

The definition of a fool is a person who acts unwisely or imprudently, a silly person. The Bible declares that a fool says ‘there is no God!’ Jesus Himself called the person who has built up wealth yet not prepared his soul for eternity a fool (Luke 12:20). Likewise, Jesus called the one who builds his house upon the sand a fool (Matthew 7:24-27). Such a house looks the same from the outside but will not stand against the floods of adversity.

Apparently, atheists in UK purchased space on the double decker buses and plastered them with the message… ‘God is probably not real, so enjoy yourself!’ Are you willing to gamble on a ‘probably?’ Without God there are no moral boundaries. Without God, what we want becomes what is right, even if it hurts others. If there is no God, and thus no moral rules, then murder (including abortion) is perfectly acceptable, because life has no value! If there is no God, then there is no value to vows and commitments, marriage is completely meaningless, and we might as well have free sex (just ignore the diseases and all the problems that come with it).

The question we must ask them is, ‘How do you enjoy your life if you’re in bondage?’ The devil is a liar and all his promises are but vapors. His only agenda is to rob glory from God by killing, stealing and destroying everything good in people’s lives. Yet Jesus came to bring us life, both now and in eternity (John 10:10)!

Pray for this ‘foolish’ deception over lost people in our city to be exposed, and for the truth that there really is a God to be made so public! Pray that God would remove fools from public office and influential places and replace them with ones who fear, love and trust God. Pray that the church in our city would be completely built upon the Rock, and that every place with there is a sandy foundation to be exposed and replaced with the real ‘Stone!’
