And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word. 1 Kings 18:21 (ESV)
This is the time to make sure you are on God’s side! There are many follow the Lord but carry secret and/or hidden sin. But it is coming out. Don’t allow the fear of man, or the love of your reputation keep you from stepping into the right place and standing before God in this hour! This is the time to choose to be all in. As Elijah said, stop limping between your options!
God does not, ever have, nor ever will bless sin! To choose disobedience, to affirm sin, is to choose death over life and a curse upon our life. God does not, nor will not protect those who choose sin. They willingly choose to step outside of His protection. And we are moving into a day of great danger where His protection will be greatly needed.
The questions is, where are the Elijahs who will stand up against Baal and the baby sacrificing system? Where are the Elijahs who will stand up in Congress, or in our city and say we will not tolerate the murder of unborn children anymore? Where are the Elijah’s who will speak up in churches against Jezebel? Though it may cost you everything, how do you know it wasn’t for such a time as this that you’ve been given such a platform? No one has a right to kill the unborn! Perversion, pornography and immorality are becoming strongholds in so many churches. It’s time to stand up, even if you lose your reputation, or your job, … but to not speak is joining hands with evil!
Btw, godly leadership takes responsibility instead of making excuses! Cry out for your pastor to choose obedience to God above all else. Cry out for Elijahs to rise up in your congregation, who will stand up in their spheres of life and declare Jesus, life, and purity even if it costs them their job. Cry out for the Holy Spirit to burn the fear of the Lord in your church and across our city, that we would boldly declare Jesus is our Lord, and walk it out with our lives! Pray that church would stop limping between her options! Thank the Lord for His protection for those who choose Him and obey His word!
