The power of praise!

“May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,to carry out the sentence written against them. This is the glory of all His faithful people.” Psalm 149:6-9a (NIV)

Our greatest weapon is worship and praise! As we worship and focus our adoration and love toward the Lord, He moves in power against His enemies. He has called us to inflict vengeance on the nations, to bind up heavenly dignitaries and their earthly agents, and to decree the sentences written against them. This is the glory of the Body of Christ. We are His shoulders that the governments of the world rest on (Isaiah 9:6). Our decrees matter!Today take time to worship the One who sits enthroned above the nations and laughs at them (Psalm 2:4). Then respond in prayer and declarations announce His will on earth.

God is not done, nor is He late!

Check out this translation of Psalm 149.

God’s high and holy praises fill their mouths,
for their shouted praises are their weapons of war!
These warring weapons will bring vengeance
on every opposing force and every resistant power—
to bind kings with chains and rulers with iron shackles.
Praise-filled warriors will enforce
the judgment-doom decreed against their enemies.
This is the glorious honor He gives to all His godly lovers.
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
