Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.” 2 Timothy 2:3-4 (NIV)

Recently I had a dream where I was covertly training specific people in the secret warrior code. It was so vivid and detailed. Then I woke up and it all but vanished, until I sat there in the middle of the night praying into it. Suddenly the four points came to me and I share this warrior code now with you! I would take it seriously as the day of war is upon us!

Humility

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.” James 4:10 (HCSB)

We are told to humble ourselves as Jesus Christ humbled Himself (Philippians 2:1-11). Pride, in any form, repels God (James 4:6). This is a time where we must be sure that pride is put to death. Take it out like you take the stinky trash out! Warriors need more of God not less. The Lord is looking for warriors who are not focused on what they get out of the assignment, not interested in how they appear, or what anyone else thinks of them. Warriors are not concerned how they look, even if they appear foolish to others. Ask the Lord to show you any trace of pride in your life. Repent of it and ask His to equip you as His humble warrior in this hour!

Surrender

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 (ESV)

God is looking for warriors who see that their lives are no longer their own, but belong to Him, completely. We have been bought with a great price. Warriors understand that this is not our life to live, but that we have been purchased by the blood of Jesus. The warrior’s life belongs to the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Jeremiah 10:23). Surrender to the Lord right now, commit yourself completely to Him, every part, every breath, every second and everything you own. Surrender to Him all the challenges you currently face, no matter how big or small they are. Surrender all your assignments, even prayer burdens, as new assignments are about to be issued!

Obedience

Those who accept My commandments and obey them are the ones who love Me. And because they love Me, My Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal Myself to each of them.” John 14:21 (NLT)

Jesus said that if we love Him we will obey Him! Pretty straight forward!!! He is looking for absolute and instant obedience, no matter what! No questions asked, no due diligence, no looking at all the options, no counting the cost as the warrior have already done that! When our Commander says go, there is to be immediate obedience. Obviously, the warrior must hear the Commander’s voice to get the orders (John 10:27). And this radical, relentless obedience expresses our love for Him! Tell the Lord Jesus that you love Him with all your heart and will obey Him in whatever He says to do! Ask forgiveness for wherever you have delayed obedience in the past, and recommit yourself to respond immediately when He speaks!

Faith

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 (NLT)

Faith is absolutely needed as a warrior. We have to take God at His word, to seek Him with all our hearts, and trust Him no matter what happens! And those who seek Him with such a faith will be greatly rewarded as a warrior for Him! It is said, faith is spelled RISK. Repent for where you have lacked faith, and have resisted to take risks in the past. Lay your fears and doubts at His feet. Tell your commander that you will believe, even His slightest whisper, even when the report indicates otherwise, even when you have to stand alone.

Thank the Lord for enlisting you in His great end times army, that you are no longer a civilian but a special forces warrior under His command! Thank Him for the harvest that is coming, and has already begun. Thank Him that you get to be a part of what He is doing in this very hour!
