I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.” Ephesians 1:17 (NIV)

Paul prays that the Ekklesia of Ephesus would have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Him better! This knowing Him is not simply head knowledge about Him, but intimate relational knowledge as a husband and wife “know” each other! I want that wisdom and revelation and absolutely need it, in this hour! I imagine you do too! And God actually wants it for us as well! Elsewhere we are told that if we lack wisdom, ask and it will generously be given to us (James 1:5-8). We cannot give away that which we do not have. The more we “know” Jesus intimately, the more we can give that wisdom and revelation away! The revelation and wisdom He gives us, like everything else, is to be shared with others. The better we steward what He gives us, the more He gives us. Remember the parable of the talents. As we use it and are faithful in it, He will give us more! If you ask for wisdom and revelation, please use it!

Keep asking God for wisdom and revelation, to know Him deeper and more intimately. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you in new, fresh and deeper ways today. Ask Him for dreams, visions, words of knowledge, … for prophecy. After all, the true Spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 19:10). Ask Him for wisdom and revelation that can help others know Him better! Ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to increase in your church and across our city, especially among pastors and those who are seeking Him with all their hearts (Hebrews 11:6).
