“Our Lord, come!” 1 Corinthians 16:22b (ESV)
There is much talk today about the nearness of Christ’s return. There are so many folks believing that He is coming for His bride at any moment, and will whisk us away from all the troubles and darkness encompassing the earth right now. With the rapture, a twinkling of an eye, we will be with the Lord for eternity (1 Corinthians 15:51-53, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)! That will be a beautiful day!!!
Nevertheless, I believe that is only partially right! Jesus is coming, but at this time He is not coming for her, He is coming to her! We are about to experience the greatest revival, awakening, harvest this world has ever seen, and this is all about Jesus coming to His church to prepare her for the wedding feast of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7-8). Many prophetic voices are saying, and I believe them, that we are about to experience the culmination of all the previous moves of God. The gospel will be preached in all the nations (Matthew 24:14). Signs, wonders and miracles will not be a rarity, but part of the testimony of those who follow Jesus in this hour (Mark 16:17-18). And the bride WILL BE spotless, holy and ready for her wedding day! God has each of us here, right where He wants us. We could have been born in another time, or be living in another city, but by God’s wisdom He has us positioned us exactly where He needs us. His presence, kingdom and power are about to increase on those who seek Him with all their hearts (Jeremiah 29:13, Hebrews 11:6).
Ask God to give you eyes to see what He is doing and faith to join Him in very specific ways! Ask God to exchange the escape/rescue from these “dark hours mentality,” to this being the opportunity of a lifetime in our city, nation and world. Starting with yourself, your pastor, church leadership and congregation ask God to increase faith and radical wholehearted obedience to do whatever He says and/or however He leads. Thank Him for putting you here, right where you are, right now! Thank Him for allowing you to be a part of the greatest move of God ever. Thank Him for coming to His bride before He comes for her!
