The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2 (HCSB)

This is an hour where we, God’s kids, must find our shelter and refuge in our Father! Stuff is happening and we definitely do not want to get caught out in it. I have been daily praying Psalm 91 over me (and my family). I have written it out as a prayer. Please feel free to make it your own, adapt it however you want!

I declare that through my abiding relationship with Jesus Christ, I dwell in the shelter of the Most High and I rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I say to You LORD, “You are my refuge, and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.” Most definitely, You save me from the hidden traps, in fact from all entrapments of the enemy, as well as from any deadly pestilence or virus. You cover me with Your feathers and under Your wings I find refuge; Your faithfulness is my shield and strong tower. I will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me. I will only observe it with my eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

Since I make the Most High my dwelling, the LORD my refuge, no harm will befall me, no disaster will come near my home. For You O LORD, command Your angels concerning me, to guard me in all my ways; they will lift me up in their hands, so that I will not strike my foot against a stone. I will tread on the lion and the cobra; I will trample the great lion and the serpent. The God of peace will soon crush the head of the devil underneath my feet (Romans 16:20).

Because I love You LORD, You promise You will rescue me. And because I acknowledge Your name, You will protect me. When I call to You, You answer and reveal to me great and mighty things I know not of (Jeremiah 33:3). You will be with me in times of trouble. You will deliver me and honor me. With a long life You will satisfy me and show me Your salvation, which includes all the benefits of God – the forgiveness of all my sin, the healing of all my sickness, the deliverance from all demonic oppression, being crowned with love and compassion and having my youthfulness restored (Psalm 103:2-5). Thank You LORD that as I wait on You, trust You and walk in You, You will restore my youthfulness and I will soar on wings of eagles (Isaiah 40:30-31)!!! Father, I thank You for Your protection and these benefits of being Your child, hidden in You!
